MANILA Philippines – A telecine by the phenomenal Philippine showbiz love team of all time, “Guy and Pip”, will be featured on TV5 on February 11, 2014 at 8 pm.
Guy is multi-awarded Superstar Nora Aunor, and Pip is debonair Tirso Cruz III. The TV movie entitled “When I Fall in Love” also stars Nadine Samonte and Felix Roco, and is directed by Joel Lamangan.
The “Guy and Pip” love team came to prominence in the 1970s and was, and still is, the most popular of all Filipino love teams. During their teens, they were mobbed wherever they went with thousands of screaming, adoring fans. Now, in their early 60s, fans of Guy and Pip are still around, eager to watch their favorite love team on screen. However, their love affair is – apparently – on screen only because Pip is married.
Incidentally, Nora Aunor has been recently recognized as one of the artists who brought honors to the country in international events, tagged as the ANI ng Dangal by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) last February 2, 2014. She is also being considered for the National Artist Award. These are only a few of those numerous awards she received from local and international award giving bodies. Her internationally acclaimed movie, “Thy Womb”, continues to earn awards around the world; in the US, Asia and Europe.
The one and only Superstar continues to earn accolades even after more than 40 years in showbiz, as a singer and as an actress; an amazing feat in Philippine cinema that she – alone- was able to accomplish.
The airing of the telecine, “When I Fall in Love”, would be a genuine treat for all Guy and Pip fans all over the country. The flame of love would forever burn for these diehard fans.
