MANILA, PhilippinesVhong Navarro’s rape case/charge by Deniece Cornejo was dismissed by Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday, April 10, 2014.  Navarro’s Illegal Detention Charges against Cedric Lee and company, however, would push through because the DOJ has found probable cause for its filing.

DOJ’s dismissal of Vhong Navarro’s rape case stems from the fact the testimony of alleged rape victim Deniece Cornejo is “physically improbable.”

How could the accused, pull the complainant’s shorts down, grab her hair and at the same time expose her private parts, and hold his own sexual organ against hers?

The audience on “It’s Showtime”, Vhong Navarro’s TV show, cheered happily as the verdict was announced on TV today. Vhong Navarro was in tears, as co-host Vice Ganda hugged him.

Navarro has two more rape cases filed against him, one by Roxanne Acosta Cabanero, but fans believe that their idol is also innocent of the two charges. Reportedly, Navarro’s group has plans of filing a perjury case against Cabanero.

Vhong Navarro’s fans, friends and family have supported him all the way, and for that, apparently, he is truly grateful.

He stated tearfully:

“Maraming salamat sa madlang people. Maraming maraming salamat sa paniniwala, sa mga lawyers ko, sa ABS-CBN, sa “It’s Showtime” staff, sa family ko, sa dalawa kong anak, at siyempre sa iyo Tanya. Maraming salamat sa second chance, salamat sa pangunawa.”

Vhong Navarro expressed his gratitude to his fans, lawyers, ABS-CBN, “It’s Showtime” staff, his family, his two children and his live-in partner, Tanya. He thanked her for giving him a second chance.
