MANILA, Philippines – Journey’s lead singer, Arnel Pineda, appealed for help for the victims of typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) and the Bohol earthquake in the Philippines.
Arnel Pineda resides in Manila, Philippines although he could choose to reside in San Francisco where the band originated.
The international rock star and his band Journey donated also $350,000 for the typhoon Haiyan victims. Arnel Pineda intends to provide 2 million food packages for the victims of Haiyan.
Presently, Journey band members are on break following their successful 2013 Live Tour. The Journey’s 2014 Live Tour will start on May 14, 2014 in Chula Vista, California at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre.
Arnel Pineda’s Foundation (APFI) had also helped in the relief efforts in the Visayas through donations coursed through the foundation. These donations were distributed by dedicated volunteers for APFI.
