MANILA, Philippines – American Idol Season 12 contestants, Blair Perkins and Airel Sprague, will perform with Jessica Sanchez in Manila for a Valentine’s Day Concert, on Thursday, February 14, 2013.
The concert has long been awaited by Jessica Sanchez‘s fans in the Philippines.
Blair Perkins, 18, was eliminated during the auditions aired this week on American Idol, but he tweeted from his official Twitter account that he did not feel bad that the judges did not let him through. Perkins is from Los Angeles, California and has aired his interesting music through his MySpace and YouTube accounts, from which he earned more than 2 million of song plays and views.
He was also one of the 56 independent artists who sang “We Are The World” to raise funds for the victims of the Haiti earthquake in 2010.
Airel Sprague, on the other hand, is from Fayetteville NC, and was among the American Idol, Top 42 contestants. She is a singer and a songwriter, who has a respectable following of her own.
Both artists are excited and honored to join Jessica Sanchez, in Manila, for the Valentine’s Day Concert that will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Apparently the three performers enjoyed their time together, while practicing their songs for the concert.
Incidentally, Colton Dixon, the 7th placer in Season 11, would be a guest performer in Jessica Sanchez’s first Solo Concert. Her Blujays are thrilled and ecstatic with this milestone in their idol’s life.
If Blair Perkins and Airel Sprague were accepted by the American Idol 2013 judges for the next round, then they would not be able to perform with Jessica Sanchez in Manila. As Brian Perkins had happily expressed in his Twitter account,
“I’m a FREE AGENT!”
Everything happens for a reason, and what was meant to be – will be. That goes for the American Idol 2013 auditions too.
