The winner of the online voting polls would automatically earn a slot in the semifinals of the Miss Universe Pageant being held in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The Miss Philippines’ representative is Janine Tugonon, 23 years old from Orion, Balanga, Bataan.
She has graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Santo Tomas, attesting to the fact that she is beauty and brains.
During the National Costume competition, Janine wore a simple but dazzling Muslim-inspired gown that exuded elegance. Many Filipinos are hopeful that she would win because of her winsome smile and true Filipina beauty.
