Shiane Hawke and The Collective were left in the Bottom 2, and had a showdown. The Collective performed a Justin Bieber hit, “As Long as You Love Me“. While Shiane Hawke sang “Wherever You Will Go.”
Ronan Keating, Mel Brown and Guy Sebastian voted for Shiane Hawke to be eliminated.
After the X Factor judges voted, Twitter went abuzz with TweeterPeeps consoling the teary-eyed teen singer, even if she was not able to read their tweets. It seemed the pressure and stress of the contest is just too much for the young teen to bear.
Most tweets were optimistic stating that she should not despair because she was still young and would succeed eventually in her singing career.
Other people reprimanded those who were critical of her performance, saying that Shiane has a raw talent that could still be developed.
Shiane Hawke lives in Darwin, and was the youngest – ever – X Factor Australia contestant.
