Valentine’s Day Poem – My Heart is Clay

Posted on February 8, 2015

Valentine's Messages

My heart is left a-pining for this love for you.
Unrelenting and persistent all my whole life through.
I don’t know why it keeps beating persistently for you.
And goes on waiting the whole year through.

My heart is clay, where you’re concerned.
It melds and conforms wherever you bend.
It’s putty, moldy clay that you alone can tend.
And carve at will whatever you portend.

My heart still beats for you alone.
I don’t know why, I can’t set the tone.
It has a mind of its own, I can’t atone.
The fact that it loves you, all alone.

Happy Valentine’s day, my love.
