The white dove soared in the sky with
its shimmering wings of peace and hope,
the harmful UV sun’s rays pierced its body
but it kept going, forging a wave of blue smoke in its wake.
It attempted to fly higher when a gigantic plane scorched its wings
and it almost fell to its death,
it was no match to the plane’s state-of-the-art technology – not even an inch close to it,
all its weapon was the olive branch in its beak.
Suddenly, a staccato burst of sound erupted from the ground,
it was trying to reach the dove to stop it from its journey,
higher the flames reach out to the sky to burn the dove to death,
however, the white dove held on to dear life, weaving its way
through the miasma of toxic gases, evading the death trap set to capture it,
it gasped for air as darkness descended and it could see nothing but snowballs of
hatred, growing by the second, as they trundled down the mountains of discord and enmity.
The dove struggled to break free of the chains of darkness around him,
it tried so hard, that one of its feathers got broken by an ominous block of lightning,
“I have to go on.” The dove cried in despair.
But not even Mother Nature heard its plea for dear life.
Wearily, it waddled in place not being able to fly farther,
Another bomb of lighting struck its opposite wings and it flailed in mid-air
struggling to stay alive, hoping a miracle would happen.
But alas! The toxic smoke caught up with the dove, and the gases swallowed it in one swift motion,
The olive branch fell from the dove’s beak, it fluttered in the air for a minute before being carried away by the harsh stormy winds.
The last thought of the beautiful dove before crashing to the ground – to its inevitable death was –
“Why doesn’t the Homo sapiens give peace a chance?’
