Microsoft emphasized the need for customers to migrate to the updated Windows 8.1 in order to strengthen security and maximize the application. This would also ensure that users are protected at all times with the new operating system.

Once the security updates are stopped by Microsoft, there would no longer be assurances about the Windows XP’s ability to withstand attack from hackers.

If you are still using Windows XP, you should migrate before April 8, 2014.
