Manila, Philippines – As of October 2, 2023, at 3:00 AM, tropical storm (typhoon) Jenny, was spotted East of Aparri, Cagayan.
Koinu codenamed Typhoon Jenny, is moving Northwestward and affecting the Visayas, Southern Luzon, Mindanao, and Northern Luzon regions.
PAGASA raised Tropical Storm Signal #1 over Batanes as the storm intensified.

In Aurora, Quezon; Bicol, Cagayan, and Isabela, thunderstorms, scattered rain showers, and cloudy skies are expected today.
The Southwest monsoon will affect Mindoro, Marinduque, Palawan, Romblon, and Zamboanga.
“Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, and isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.”
Typhoon Jenny is predicted to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday afternoon or evening.
The Philippines has been inundated with tropical storms annually, which caused destruction and damage to persons and properties.
Hopefully, this year, there will be no Haiyan-like typhoons.
