Thomas Kinkade, who was dubbed the ‘Painter of Light’ died, Friday, April 6, 2012, because of what appear as natural causes, international news revealed, April 7, 2012.
Kinkade, 54, was known to paint sentimental paintings of gardens and churches, most accompanied by inspiring Bible verses.
Reportedly, Kinkade in a previous interview stated that he was the ‘Warrior of Light’ and that he was trying to bring light to the lives of people who feel darkness, and to bring ‘peace and joy’ to other people’s lives, as well.
Thomas Kinkade has received various awards as a painter. He was recognized as NALED Graphic Artist of the Year and was awarded by NALED with the Eugene Freedman Humanitarian Award in 2005.
