“The Ten Commandments,” an immortal film classic by Cecil DeMille, was featured on Holy Friday at Film Friday, ABC, as posted in entertainment sites, April 6, 2012.
“The Ten Commandments” was a Box Office hit in 1956 and still remains to be a classic up to this day.
The film revolves around the story of Moses, tagged as “The Father of all Nations” by Christian teachings, and his rise to become the “deliverer” of the Hebrews out of their bondage from Egypt to Canaan, the land of “Milk and Honey.”
In the film, however, Moses was unable to finally “see” Canaan. The legendary actor Charlton Heston played the role of Moses and Yul Brynner played Ramses the Pharaoh of Egypt. Christians all over the world continue to watch “The Ten Commandments” every year during the Holy Week.
Below is a YouTube video of the scene when God talked to Moses from the bush.
