The Sochi Winter Olympics Update has Michael Christian Martinez competing Wednesday, February 13, 2014 at 19.00 (Sochi, Russia time) in the Men Short Program. It was a momentous day for the USA, as well, as Joss Christensen,  Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper won all 3 medals in the Men’s Slopestyle Skiing, Gold, Silver and Bronze, respectively.

Michael makes history by being the lone Philippine entry in the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 in Russia, where skiing veterans from all over the world would compete.

As of today, Germany leads in the total medal count with 6 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze; followed by Canada with 4 golds, 4 silvers, and 2 bronzes. In 3rd place is Norway with 4 golds, 3 silvers and 6 bronzes. The USA is 4th with 4 golds, 2 silvers, and 6 bronzes.

Norway has the most medals; 13 all in all, followed by the USA (12), Canada and Netherlands (10) and Germany (8).
