MANILA, Philippines – Pictures of President Noynoy Aquino and Janet Napoles, alleged mastermind of 10 Billion Pork Barrel Scam, were released by the palace and is now making the rounds online. PNoy has also a picture taken with Janet’s daughter, Jeane, in November 2012 during a Cebu event.
Various local online news sites have featured the Philippine President’s pictures with Jeane and Janet Napoles, and reportedly, the palace has downplayed the significance of the pictures.
President Noynoy has reportedly disclosed that he could not remember meeting Janet Napoles before the 10 Billion Pork Barrel Scam.
What could be the implication of the pictures?
PNoy meets a lot of people in his capacity as president, and it is understandable that he would not be able to remember everyone.
