NASA has been taking active part in the public campaign for awareness of its objectives and goals. It has shown that this branch of the government is not only concerned with outer space and the extraterrestrial but is also an active part in community development.

This time on March 29 & 30, 2011, NASA is inviting the media to take active part in its Open Source Summit. This was announced at the NASA website, March 25, 2011.

This is a venue where top notch people in engineering and policy makers come together to map out policies in NASA’s development. Journalists can register for the event through Cristina LeClerc at 650-604-2303 by 4 pm, March 28. You can also hop over to the NASA website to know more.

The event will be held at the Ames Research Center Moffett Field, California from 9 am to 5 pm
