MANILA, Philippines – Jessica Sanchez, American Idol runner-up, and American singer –songwriter Ashanti will sing the Philippine and US National Anthems, respectively, before the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley Fight on April 12, 2014. (April 13 in Manila)
Jessica sang both the Philippine and US national anthems during Pacquiao’s fight against Brandon Rios, where the Pacman won decisively and unanimously over the younger American-Mexican boxer.
Jessica Sanchez is back to the Philippines, also, for some TV commitments, which thrilled her loyal Blujay fans.
Meanwhile, odds are in favor of the Filipino Boxing Superstar as his comeback is apparently unstoppable after he has been knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao’s win over Rios has proven that he still got what it takes to be tagged as one of the greatest fighters of this era. Marquez reportedly expressed his desire of fighting whoever wins between Pacquiao and Bradley.
Manny Pacquiao has tweeted on March 9:
Manny Pacquiao @MannyPacquiao
“I am so happy to be back in LA training w/ @FreddieRoach at Wild Card. I have really missed it.”
Famous singer Bod Dylan visited him at the Wild Card gym too.
“After BOB DYLAN watched me train today, @FreddieRoach said, “I think A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall on #TimothyBradley.”
Apparently, Manny Pacquiao is glad Jessica has agreed to sing again, because he also tweeted:
“The talented @JessicaESanchez will be singing the Philippines National Anthem at my fight with @TimBradleyJr on April 12. #PacBradley.”
“I am so happy that @Ashanti accepted my invitation to sing The National Anthem at my fight with @TimBradleyJr. on April 12. #PacBradley”
