American Idol alumna and country music singer, Kellie Pickler, traveled to Afghanistan to spread the Christmas Spirit to US soldiers thru the USO Christmas Convoy.
The USO has a yearly tradition of giving gifts to US troops who were not able to make it home during the Yuletide season.
Last Christmas Eve, Kellie Pickler and USO distributed televisions, snacks, toiletries and video games to the troops in Afghanistan. The US soldiers were happy, saying the USO Convoy has made them experience the Christmas Cheer.
Reportedly, the goods came from the donations of generous people.
Regional Vice President, USO, Bruce Burda, stated that bringing the Holiday Cheer to US troops, who are busy defending freedom, especially in remote areas, is the objective of the USO Christmas Convoy.
