Even President Noynoy Aquino expressed his pride being a Filipino through his official Twitter account. Twitter was flooded with #GilasPilipinas tweets from all over the country for the decisive win the Pinoy ballplayers demonstrated.

Incidentally, South Korea has been a friendly country to Pinoys with South Korean telenovelas conspicuously aired during primetime TV. The triumph of Gilas Pilipinas was a historic feat that everyone is so ecstatic about.

Meanwhile, Robert “Bobby” Jaworski, former basketball superstar, challenged Gilas Pilipinas to be the champions. There is only one game keeping them away from the championship, and that would be the championship game against Iran.
