DeAndre Brackensick singing at Top 8 American Idol

DeAndre Brackensick was eliminated from American Idol 2012, after his performance of “I Like It” by DeBarge at the Top 8 performance show. Jennifer voted “save” but Steven and Randy did not. This was revealed in the video uploaded at the American Idol website. April 5, 2012.
Although DeAndre’s previous performance earned the raves of music pundits, like the three judges:
Steven said:
“It was exceptional.”
Randy said:
“It was the perfect song for you. One of the best performances…”
Jennifer said:
“I liked it a lot.”
When the votes were tallied; however, DeAndre got the lowest votes, and was eliminated from the Top 8 American Idol contenders.He was voted out by millions of American Idol Season 11 viewers. The judges were given one vote during the season to save any of the AI contestants but it has not been used to date. Only Jennifer Lopez voted for him to be saved.
In the Top 8 performance show, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet gave a powerful duet that had made viewers watch in awe, at what Steven said as a performance that defies judging.
