MANILA, Philippines – PAGASA issued the latest Weather Bulletin No. 1: Tropical Cyclone Alert for Zoraida. A new Tropical Depression that entered the country anew, as Typhoon Yolanda leaves with about 10,000 people reported dead.

(5AM 11 November 2013)“FORECAST: Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the northeast to north over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be with moderate to rough. — with Ester Cardora and Maharlika Nation.”
Luckily, Zoraida, the new tropical depression would not be as devastating as Super Typhoon Yolanda. Light rains are expected over Metro Manila, which may persist for an hour, with Eastern Visayas and Mindanao being cloudy.
Meanwhile, Tacloban, which has been ‘flattened’ by TS Yolanda, is reportedly, having a difficult time recovering because of communication and accessibility problems. If Tropical Depression Zoraida would hit the same areas, then that would be a catastrophe.
Tacloban seemed to be devastated by a hurricane with collapsed buildings and destroyed infrastructures; houses were like matchsticks tossed in the air. The more heart-breaking news is that dead bodies were reportedly found buried among the debris and literally floating in the streets.
President Noynoy Aquino would visit Tacloban to, apparently, assess the extent of damages and visit the victims of the strongest typhoon recorded in history.
