Opening Prayer for meetings

We always utter our prayer for All Souls’ Day in November. Remembering our dearly departed family members and friends is a vital thing we should never forget.

You could use the prayer for the dead below.

Losing loved ones is a sad event.

But knowing Dear God that they will be there with You is such consolation.

Please take them into your loving arms where they can rest, be at peace and be happy forever.

We pray that all our departed brothers and sisters would find refuge in Heaven with you.

We pray that you may forgive those who have gone astray to your words and give them a chance to redeem themselves.

In Your Glory and generosity, please forgive their sins and redeem them from hell and eternal damnation.

Surely, you value Your Precious sons and daughters more than the birds that fly the sky.

On this All Souls’ Day, remind us once again of our responsibilities to look after – not only our families – but also our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Built into our system an empathic spirit and an ever all-helping hand, so that when it’s time for us to come to Your Heavenly Presence, we will nor regret our actions towards our brothers.

Our life on Earth is only temporary, we are only temporary travelers in this journey of life.

Make us realize that we could only reach our final destination if we rely On You, Beloved God.

For we are dust and unto dust we shall return.

We also pray for the living that they live their lives in a way that would lead them to your side in the end.

May we correct our erring ways so we can stay with you when it’s our time.

Direct our lives to the right path.

Guide us with Your Sublime Spirit and help us be the Christ to every person we meet along this life’s journey.

We pray for all these in Jesus Christ’s Name,

Amen.
