X Factor Israel Update: Filipino caregiver, Rose Fostanes, performed Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You” for a slot in the Top 4; Kelly Clarkson was the first winner of the American Idol singing competition.
The 4 judges, Rose’s mentor, Shiri Maimon, Ivri Lider, Moshe Peretz and Rami Fortis applauded with gusto, but did not give Rose Fostanes a standing ovation for that performance. The audience erupted, though, in a loud cheer.
Rose Fostanes has gained new Israeli friends and is recognized now in the streets of Tel Aviv. She appealed for votes, saying she had aspired to be a singer since she was 4 years old, and that she wanted to fulfill that dream and bring her family out of poverty.
The Philippines’ ambassador to Israel was there to witness the Pinay’s performance on X Factor Israel.
