Nora Aunor’s “Thy Womb” was featured in the Lake Como Film Festival video released by the prestigious Italian award giving body on June 3, 2014. The festival will start June 21 and will end July 26, 2014.
The film entries came from all over the world, and “Thy Womb” made it to the final selection. The other films recognized were “Home”, “Tracks”, “Mud”, “A Time in Quchi”, “The Lunchbox”, “Gravity”, “Paris Texas”, “In Grazia Di Dio”, “The Wall”, and “In Solitario”.
According to the organizers of the Lake Como Film Festival, these films “highlight the different places and different national cultures…”
It is not the first time that Nora Aunor and Brillante Mendoza’s “Thy Womb” was featured prominently in international film competitions.
Philippines’ one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor, won various Best Actress Awards for her role in the film. The director of “Thy Womb” and the film itself, have already won in several international film competitions, as well.
