In an unprecedented, historical moment, Kim Namjoon, RM of BTS has delivered a heartwarming speech at the UN on September 24, 2018.
It’s the first time – ever- that a K-Pop band was given the opportunity to speak to UN representatives from all over the world.
Global Superstars, BTS, have reached out to the UN to promote youth empowerment to love themselves and speak for themselves.
Here’s a part of RM’s inspiring speech.
“We have learned to love ourselves, so now, I urge you to speak yourself. Tell me your story. I want to hear your voice and I want to hear your conviction. What is your name? What excites you and makes your heart beat. I wanna hear your voice. No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin color, your gender identity, just speak yourself…”
