Filipino Aldrich Lloyd Talonding and his cousin perform “Dance with My Father Again” in The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Aldrich uploaded on YouTube one video of him singing “Dance with My Father Again” accompanied by his cousin, who played the guitar. The video went viral earning 4 million views, and Ellen DeGeneres saw Aldrich singing and invited him to her show.
Aldrich Lloyd Talonding’s father died in June, making the lyrics more meaningful to him.
Aldrich and his cousin wowed the audience with Aldrich’s wonderful voice. Ellen was apparently impressed, she said:
“We’re honored to watch you sing this.”
Ellen DeGeneres gifted the young boys with a piano, a guitar and a $10,000 check. Ellen has always been supportive of Pinoy talents like international pop star, Charice Pempengco, and Journey’s lead vocalist, Arnel Pineda.
