“Toy Story 4” is back with its 4th sequel, which will be shown in theaters on June 16, 2017. The Disney cartoon film has gained popularity around the world that Disney decided to do a 4th film.
As disclosed by Disney execs, the 4th film will revolve around the love story of Woody and Bo Peep.
The film will be directed by John Lasseter and Josh Cooley, while Tom Hanks (Woody) and Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyears) have signed on for the film, as well. John Lasseter also co-wrote the story. It’s still unclear whether the other cast members will be retained such as, Michael Keaton, Ned Beatty and Joan Cusack.
“Toy Story 4” comes 7 years after “Toy Story 3” and 22 years after “Toy Story 1”.
John Lasseter disclosed that:
“We don’t want to do anything with [these characters] unless it lives up to or surpasses what’s gone before.”
With this pronouncement, it is expected that “Toy Story” will be a blockbuster in the tills.
