The American Idol 2012 Top 4 is preparing for their “California DreaminPerformance Show. The Top 4 would undoubtedly be excited and stressed about what would happen in the Results Show on May 10.

This Top 3 Prediction for the May 10 American Idol 2012 Results Show comes early because of the premise that from this point onwards, nothing matters but only the “Fans’ Votes.”

Performances of the contestants do not count anymore; look at what happened to Hollie Cavanagh who was among the Top 3 performers last May 2; she was still in the Bottom 2 after the show.

American Idol 2012 judges’ comments do not influence the votes as well. Skylar Laine was well applauded by Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler -like Hollie – but she still landed in the Bottom 2. Studio audience impact had no influence too, as seen in the results. That leaves the only factor that would allow the American Idol hopefuls to remain- their fans’ votes.

Based on American Idol history, most American Idol winners have never been in the Bottom 3 during any runs of the show.  A good example is Scotty McCreery, American Idol Season 10’s winner, who had never been in the bottom ranks.

Prediction for the Top 3 American Idol 2012 contenders are:

1. Phillip Phillips

2. Jessica Sanchez

3. Joshua Ledet

This would leave Hollie Cavanagh in the bottom, and thus would be voted off. One can never be certain though; another shocking elimination may occur anew.

Phillip Phillips has never been in the Bottom 3, and continues to lead in the rankings. Would this mean that Phillip Phillips would emerge as the winner?
