Scotty McCreery, American Idol Season 10’s Champion, has been nominated again for CMT’s U.S.A. “Breakthrough Video of the Year” for his music video “The Trouble With Girls.” This was revealed by entertainment sites this month of April 2012.

Voting for the CMT Awards is still on-going at CMT’s website up to June 4, 2012, with the announcement of winners on June 6, 2012.

Scotty made idol history by being the youngest male country music singer to have a certified platinum for his debut album, “Clear as Day.”

He also won the American Country Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. Scotty is also nominated for Top Country Album and Top New Artist by the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

Lauren Alaina, America Idol Season 10’s runner-up, has also been nominated for CMT’s “Breakthrough Video of the Year.”  It seems that Lauren and Scotty are still competing out of the American Idol stage.

Another American Idol “graduate”, Carrie Underwood has been nominated for 5 CMT awards. Other nominees for the “Breakthrough Video of the Year” are: Pistol Annies, Thompson Square, Brantley Gilbert, and Hunter Hayes.
