Ryan Gosling is finally attending the Cannes Festival, not as an actor, but as a director for the movie, “Lost River.”

Ryan Gosling is one of Hollywood’s sexiest male stars and heartthrobs. He starred in one of the most romantic movies of all time “The Notebook.” He also starred in “Blue Valentine” and “The Place Beyond The Pines.”

Ryan Gosling’s “Lost River” will be featured in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Festival. Gosling would be an award contender as a director.

The Cannes Festival is considered one of the most prestigious award giving bodies in the entertainment industry and winning would add glory and fame to winners.

Gosling is already famous as an actor, but as a director, he is just starting. The selection of “Lost River” for Cannes is a good omen that he may be doing it right.

Some of the actors who would be with Ryan Gosling as contenders are, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson, Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, Eva Mendes and Meryl Streep. Eva Mendes starred in Gosling’s film.
