Reactions to Jessica Sanchez judge’s “save” move by the judges on American Idol 2012 Top 7 elimination were varied and coupled with disbelief and relief. This was observed from the Twitter and Facebook posts of users, April 12, 2012.
The Internet is buzzing with the news that Jessica Sanchez, believed to be the frontrunner of the American Idol 2012 season 11 show, was nearly eliminated and would not have had another shot for the title, had the AI 2012 judges not used their “save” option for her.
After the announcement of the bottom three American Idol contenders, Joshua Ledet, Elise Testone and Jessica Sanchez, there were shocked reactions from the audience. Jessica’s mother was in tears. The AI 2012 judges however reacted instantly to save Jessica.
Jennifer Lopez, reportedly went to the stage and got the microphone from Jessica, saying, they’ll use their “save” option to prevent her elimination from the American Idol 2012 show.
This is what happened. When Jessica started singing her “save me” song, Jennifer went to the stage and grabbed the microphone from Jessica saying:
“Give me that mic, this is crazy. Yes we’ll use our save. You’re not going home. Go sit down.”
Then Randy and Steven joined her.
Randy said:
“We are saving Jessica without any doubt. Let me just say this. This girl is one of the best singers in America, ever…please everybody, please vote for the best.”
The studio audience were on their feet, cheering the “sensational save” the AI judges did.
The social networks Twitter and Facebook have fans expressing their astonishment at the unexpected results. It is some sort of a wake-up call that fans should cast their votes religiously if they want their idols to win.
Thousands of fans expressed online their gratitude to the three American Idol 2012 judges: Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.
“Thanks to the judges for saving Jessica Sanchez,” one tweet stated, and similar tweets inundated the social networks.
