Reactions to Ellen DeGeneres’ selection as host for the 85th Annual Academy Awards next 2014 were of joy and gladness. It can be recalled that Ellen DeGeneres had also hosted the Annual Academy Awards in 2007.

Apparently, the Academy approved of her performance the previous time that she hosted. It would surely be another night of “fun” and entertainment.
Ellen DeGeneres has been, and still is, a name to reckon with among TV hosts. She is a Hollywood Walk of Fame recipient, an Emmy Award-winning writer and has been recognized as an Outstanding TV Host.
She had also been instrumental in helping out other music artists in their journey to fame. These singers include Filipino singing icons Charice and Arnel Pineda.
The Annual Academy Awards, The Oscars, is a much-awaited international event, and with Ellen DeGeneres hosting its 85th, it would surely be a success, and a crowd-drawer of viewers from all over the world.
