The reaction of numerous American Idol 2012 viewers to Jessica Sanchez’s performance of “Dance with My Father Again” was to be teary eyed, while the AI judges had given her praises but not a standing ovation.
Viewers and fans on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social networking sites expressed how they were moved to tears with her song. Below are some of these comments:

“I couldn’t help but cry when I watched her sing this song :'( it was beautiful, made me in tears listening to her sing! I’m really wishing and hoping she wins because she deserves it!”
American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson comments lauded the 16 year old Idol contestant from Chula Vista. These are their comments for Jessica’s Queen selection, “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Steven Tyler:
“Freddie Mercury would be happy to hear that…”
Jennifer Lopez:
“You sounded beautiful singing that song…the vocal was beautiful. All in all really really great performance”
Randy Jackson:
“I actually loved it. She really changed herself..I thought it was great..you sounded beautiful..I loved it.”
Jennifer Lopez said she had expected more from the rock portion but concluded that she loved Jessica Sanchez’s performance.

“Luther Vandross is one of my favorite singers of all time… that may have been the best I heard that song sang… the tenderness, the feelings, the vocal ability…it is the most beautiful I ever heard..”

Randy Jackson:
“You are truly amazing to me… Now you’ve got the feeling…every time you get up and sing…you know what’s wrong with it? Absolutely nothing!”
