Taylor Sheesh, the Philippines’ version of Taylor Swift was featured on GMA (Good Morning America).
The Philippines has its own Taylor Swift through Taylor Sheesh, a Swifty who became an impersonator of the famed singer.
The drag queen is 29-year-old, John Mac Lane Coronel, who has impersonated Taylor Swift since 2017. He has been a fan of the singer since 2009.
Coronel is considered by many Pinoy Swifties as the Best Impersonator of the acclaimed American singer-songwriter.
He performed in various malls around the country in full costume and make-up as the genuine Taylor Swift performs in two Asian countries, other than the Philippines.
Hence, Pinoy Swifties, who could not buy tickets for the real Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, fulfilled their desires by organizing the Taylor Sheesh’s mall shows (Taylor Sheesh’s Festival) instead.
The mall shows attracted thousands of attendees (10,000 at the most), demonstrating the huge fan base of the American singer in the Philippines.

Mac Coronel wants his Taylor Sheesh’s tickets to be cheap or free with the help of the malls and some business establishments’ sponsorship. He wants to share his love for Taylor Swift by sharing his talent in lip-syncing, dancing, and performing.
He had worked as a call center agent before but apparently, he enjoys performing as Taylor Sheesh instead.
Taylor Sheesh’s Tour was organized by Coronel and other Pinoy Swifties who had wanted to watch Taylor Swift’s 2023 tour but could not, for many reasons.
Incidentally, Taylor Swift won 9 awards at the VMA 2023, dominating the award show as the most nominated and awarded artist of the year.
For sure, her impersonator Taylor Sheesh and other Philippines Swifties are proud of their pop idol.
Taylor Sheesh has been featured on local and international entertainment sites and his videos went viral on social media since last month.
