The OSCAR nominations would be announced on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, and the awarding ceremonies would be on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theater.
The final voting begins on Friday, February 8, 2013 and ends Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 8 p.m. EST.
Online voting was introduced this year, and there were some glitches, so it was extended to allow ample time for those who were not able to vote for their nominations.
