The “Journey’s Greatest Hits” album has remained on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Songs for 375 Weeks to date. As of October 12, 2015, the album is ranked at #80.
It’s an unprecedented feat for an iconic rock band that has been in the music industry for more than 35 years now.
In spite of the fierce competition from other newer and younger bands, Journey continues to sell records. Its current lead singer, Filipino rocker, Arnel Pineda, has been continuing the legacy of the band since 2007. The story of Arnel’s inclusion in the band is now part of Journey’s legendary history.
One would think that after more than a quarter of a decade the band would slow down, but that’s not the case with Journey; they perform in a yearly concert all over the world. In 2011, Journey was presented the Billboard Touring Award for grossing the most ticket sales while on tour.
This 2015, Journey performed around Canada, the U.S., and will end their tour in the Philippines on December 5, 2015 at the Solaire Theater.
For the schedule of Journey’s Tours, fans can visit Arnel Pineda’s website HERE, or follow his Twitter account @arnelpineda.
Arnel Pineda is as fired up – as ever – in performing for the millions of Journey fans. He has expressed repeatedly that he will not be leaving the band, for as long as they need him.
Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” is also the Most Downloaded Song of the Decade marking the bands history for the books.
Indeed, Journey is here to stay!
