MANILA, Philippines – German Moreno would celebrate his 50 years in showbiz in a star studded celebration with no other than Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera leading the guest stars, according to local entertainment news.
German Moreno, known as Kuya Germs to his protégés, played a pivotal role in promoting many teen stars into big-named stars today.
Kuya Germs started as a janitor at the Clover Theater, and then went on to become an actor-comedian, and a TV host/producer on GMA Supershow, That’s Entertainment, and then, The Master Showman. It was in these shows that he was able to develop young stars into great actors and actresses.
The one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor, was one of his “anak” (children). Nora (Ate Guy) was one of the biggest showbiz attractions in the 1970’s with her Golden Voice and blockbuster movies. All of his protégés from his recent show, Master Showman, are expected to attend the celebration.
The celebration would be at the Resorts World, Manila on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
