While a Filipino group, 4th Impact is making it big on X Factor UK, another singer of Filipino-Australian descent is also carving his own niche on the X Factor Australia stage. He is Cyrus Villanueva. He made it to Grand Finals of X Factor Australia as one of the Top 3 finalists.
Cyrus and the two other finalists namely, Matt & Jess and Louise Adams, and Big T was eliminated. Cyrus Villanueva impressed the judges with his awesome performance of “Don’t” and “In the Air Tonight”.
On his Facebook page, Cyrus posted on his wall this message:
“First of all, a huge thankyou to my best friend, big brother and BAE BIGTmusic. Wouldn’t have done this journey with anyone else by my side, and have honestly made the best memories with you that I can’t thank you enough for! His performance tonight was UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!!! I’m in this for you brother.#Tyrus”
Cyrus also expressed his gratitude to his fans:
“Every week full of hard work, stress and ALOT of fun has led to tonight and I am SO grateful you have all supported me! THANKYOU Australia! This is unbelievable and it’s honestly such an honour to be in this position. HUGE congrats to Jess & Matt and Louise Adams – GRAND FINAL HERE WE COME!”
The Top 3 finalists on the X Factor Australia will visit their hometowns next week.
