Filipino-American, Malaya Watson, has made it to the Top 9 on American Idol, while M.K. Nobilette was eliminated. This happened on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

The American Idol judges, Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. have opted not to use their save after M.K. Nobilette sang her save song “All of Me.”
American Idol Season 11 runner-up, Jessica Sanchez, performed with Judge Jennifer Lopez to the delight of their fans. Jessica Sanchez had also the support of the Filipino community during her stint as runner up in Season 11.
Malaya is apparently proud of her Filipino blood and stated that it was amazing to have the Filipinos’ support all over the world.
