Emmelie de Forest 20, from Denmark was the favorite even before the Grand Finals; she sang “Only Teardrops” barefooted. Her awesome rendition was so adoringly simple and sweet, with pipes reminiscent of Celine Dion‘s “My Heart Will Go On,” but at the same time, “Pop-ish,” like that of Justin Bieber.

UK’s Bonnie Tyler who performed “Believe in Me” was not able to win; she had only 23 points. Ryan Dolan of Ireland also was not able to make it on top with his song “Only Love Survives“.
