Audition for “The Sound of Music” for NBC, Be a Part of History

NBC is conducting an Open Call Auditions for children from 6—13 years old (for girls) and 10-14 years old (for boys). Of course, the child should know how to sing and act. The classic, historic film, “The Sound of Music” is now remade for NBC’s live show on December 5, 2013.

As announced by NBC:

“All children must be New York local hires, and must be available from October 15 to December 5, 2013.”

The sign-in for the auditions would be 9:00 am on Sunday, September 15, and the actual audition will start 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. at Grace Church School, 86 4th Avenue.

The roles to audition for are that of Louisa, Brigitta, Marta, Gretl, Friedrich and Kurt.  Carrie Underwood would play the role of Maria Von Trapp.
