MANILA, Philippines – Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada has suspended classes in all levels, in both public and private schools on September 21, 2018, Friday.
Mayor Estrada signed Executive Order No.35 on September 20, 2018, suspending classes in the City of Manila, due to reported massive demonstrations in line with the 46th celebration of the declaration of Martial Law.
It can be recalled that 46 years ago, Martial Law was declared by then, former President Ferdinand Marcos due to internal strife.
The opposition members are utilizing this as a means to air their gripes against the current President, Rodrigo Duterte.
President Duterte; however, is still supported by the “common tao” as they believe in his sincerity of cleaning the government of corruption, and making the country safe from drugs and criminals.
