If you’re planning to hold a Christmas party with indoor games, this list of the best indoor games to play will help you conduct the activity successfully.
1. Freeze Dancing
Participants will stand around in a circle. A piece of music is played and when it stops, everyone should stop moving – no matter what position he/she is holding. The person/s who was/were unable to stop dancing in time will be eliminated. The music is played again, on and off, until only one winner is left standing.
2. Trip to Jerusalem
A bunch of chairs is placed in the middle of a circle of participants. One chair for one participant should be missing. So, if the participants are 12, the chairs must only be 11. Music is played again and when stopped, each participant must be able to grab a chair.
The person who was unable to will be eliminated, and so on, until only one person is declared as the winner. This game is similar to Freeze Dancing because it uses music that can be played on and off to choose the winner.
3. Pass On the Good Word
If you want to enhance positivity in your Christmas party, you can perform this game. All participants are seated around in a circle. All of the participants will draw lots for their numbers. If the participants are 12, then the numbers should be labeled 1 to 12.
The person who has chosen number 1, will start the game by naming one good trait of the person to his/her right. If he/she fails to do so, he/she is eliminated. The game goes on until there are three contestants left and they are declared the winners. This game could spread camaraderie and a true Christian spirit during Christmas time, which should be the theme of the party.
4. Guess the Word
Prepare a team of 14 volunteers. The participants are divided into two equal groups (7 members each). Each group will be given 10 words that they should pass on successfully to the last person in the line by using their mouth to pronounce the word (without sounds and actions).
If the last person guesses the word correctly, then they earn 1 point. The team that has gained the most points wins the game. For every action done by the participants, a point is deducted. The fastest team will also earn another 1 point to be added to the total of the scores.
You may prefer to use an ear plug for the participants just to be sure, they won’t be able to hear ‘coaching’ prompts from the audience.
This game is played by the famous pop band, BTS, in their variety show, and since then, it has become popular.
These are simple and fun games you can do when conducting an indoor Christmas party. They don’t need extra props or elaborate set-up and you can play these games in any type of party.
Prepare to laugh your heart out, as it will be a hilarious and unforgettable way to spend time with your loved ones and friends.
You can also do this during your company’s parties to increase bonding with your colleagues.
