MANILA, Philippines - Film director, Marilou Diaz-Abaya, died of breast cancer on October 8, 2012 at the St. Luke’s Medical center as reported by local news on the same date. Ms. Diaz-Abaya was buried on October 13 in Paranaque’s Loyola Memorial Park. She was 57.

KZ Tandingan, the petite, simple girl from Digos City, is the first X Factor Philippines’ Grand Winner. She was proclaimed the winner during yesterday’s X Factor Philippines’ Results’ Show. She garnered 55.45% votes. Gabriel Maturan was in second place with 32.33%, while Daddy’s Home is in 3rd with 12.22% votes.
