MANILA, Philippines – Carly Rae Jepsen is set to perform at Smart Araneta Coliseum on August 7, 2013. Carly Rae Jepsen popularized songs like “Call Me Maybe”, “Good Time”, “This Kiss” and “Tug of War“.
The 27 year old Canadian singer has been catapulted to fame via her viral YouTube video, “Call Me Maybe”.
“Call Me Maybe” has won several awards for Carly this 2013, which includes the following;
Single of the Year – Juno Award. (“Kiss” also won Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year)
Best New Artist – from MTV Video Music Awards Japan
Top Pop Song of the Year –from Billboard Music Awards
Top Digital Songs Artist – from Billboard Music Awards
Top Digital Song – from Billboard Music Awards
Carly Rae Jepsen was also inducted to Canada’s Walk of Fame.
“Call Me Maybe” was the most parodied video before PSY’s “Gangnam Style” broke the record. Although she ended 3rd place on the Canadian Idol, her singing career has been successful. Carly Rae Jepsen continues to entertain music lovers with her unique voice and talent.
Her Pinoy fans would be able to watch her in person on August 7, 2013.
Famous blues singer, Dionne Warwick, would perform also on July 20 & 23, and July 25 in Baguio City.
Air Supply would perform for their Pinoy fans on August 13, as well, while the Fall Out Boy would be in Manila on August 8, and Pet Shop Boys on August 6.
There are several international and local artists performing for their Pinoy fans this year.
