The Hurricane Sandy (Frankenstorm) Storm Tracker gives a current status of one of the strongest hurricanes that would hit U.S. mainland in the East Coast. The Philippines is not affected directly but Filipinos who have relatives abroad are in solemn prayer that everything will soon come to pass.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced there are no major disturbances caused by Hurricane Sandy. Light rains, though, would occur in extreme Northern parts of the country.
Reportedly, the Philippine Embassy in the U.S. had given proper warnings to those who would be affected. Inquirer.net had published these numbers for Filipinos to call in case they need assistance because of Hurricane Sandy. The numbers are:

Frankestorm Sandy is expected to land early Tuesday, October 30, on US mainland. NASA keeps track of Hurricane Sandy and stated that:
“NOAA’s GOES-13 satellite captured this visible image of the massive Hurricane Sandy on Oct. 28 at 1302 UTC (9:02 a.m. EDT). The line of clouds from the Gulf of Mexico north are associated with the cold front that Sandy is merging with. Sandy’s western cloud edge is already over the Mid-Atlantic and northeastern U.S. “
