MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Cabinet honored the late DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo by singing “The Impossible Dream” during rites in Malacanang. Robredo died from a plane crash last week.
“The Impossible Dream” was one of the favorite songs of DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo. Reportedly, President Ninoy Aquino encouraged his cabinet members to sing in order to decompress; a unique way to relax indeed.
As the country mourns for a loss of a genuine public servant, who honored his duty more than what he could get from it. Twitter and Facebook are abuzz with comments of the goodness, honesty and dedicated service DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo rendered to his fellow Filipinos.
