Jessica Sanchez was interviewed by Pia Toscano and by FOX All Access after her defeat by Phillip Phillips and she handled herself well. This was after the coronation of Phillip as the winner of American Idol season 11.
Pia Toscano on American Idol’s red carpet, asked Jessica about her standout performance with Jennifer Holliday. This performance earned a standing ovation from the American Idol 2012 judges and had made Jennifer Lopez jump up and down with evident “joy.”
Jessica said that it was amazing performing a duet with one of her idols, Jennifer Holliday.
“It was amazing, like a fun battle. We both love the same music.”
Jessica added, “I started performing when I was 7.”
She revealed that she realized she has to get serious about her singing career a couple of months before the American Idol auditions.
Jessica was thrilled for the American Idol LIVE tour, as well, because she would be with her American Idol family again.
Her parting words for her fans:
“You guys mean the world to me. I made it to top 2, not just anyone could make it that far…”
Jessica thanked her fans, acknowledging that without them, she won’t be where she is. She also expressed her excitement to meet her fans on tour.
In another interview, Steven Tyler said good words about the Top 2 American Idol contenders. He said Phillip would become a great “actor” and that Jessica has a voice from heaven. They both would have successful careers.
FOX All Access also interviewed Jessica Sanchez, and the 16 year-old talented Diva was excited to go on tour and meet all her fans.
