The Grand Finale of Season 11 American Idol 2012 is at hand, and it seems just yesterday that the Top 3 American Idols, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez, were among the thousands of Idol hopefuls.
These young singers had trooped to the audition venues to have a shot at being America’s Idol.
Joshua Ledet, just like Hollie Cavanagh, had auditioned for American Idol Season 10 but was not accepted. The American Idol judges told him to return the next season, and he would surely “slay” it, and he did.
Joshua received 12 standing ovations to date and, for sure, he would still be receiving more as one of the Top 3 American Idol 2012 finalist.
Below is a video of Joshua during the Top 42 Hollywood eliminations.
Phillip Phillips was a shy, guitar-slinging hopeful when he auditioned for American idol Season 11. His style of music had earned the 3 “yes-ses” of the judges earning him a ticket to Hollywood. He was the last one in during the audition.
Phillip was never in the bottom 3 in any results show of the competition. During the Top 3 results show, he was the third contestant to be announced safe before Hollie Cavanagh.
Hollie was eliminated from the Top 4 that night. The actual ranks of the Top 4 American Idol contestants were not disclosed however.

Jessica Sanchez had joined the America’s Got Talent show when she was 11, but has not succeeded in winning the competition. When she auditioned for American Idol 2012, Jennifer, Randy and Steven immediately said yes.
She continued to earn accolades from the 3 judges, and remains to be the most “sale-able” (based on Facebook fans and Twitter followers) among the Top 3 American Idol 2012 contestants. She made history by being the first “saved” contestant to reach Top 3 of the competition.
Below is Jessica’s audition video.
