Jessica Sanchez made American Idol history when she was saved by the judges, making her the first female American Idol contestant to be saved. This was revealed by various international sites, this April 2012.

It was also the first time that the American Idol judges themselves trooped to the stage to declare that they are saving a contestant even before she had finished singing her “save me” song. This happened during the Top 7 AI 2012 results show.

Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone were at the bottom 3. Ryan Seacrest announced that Elise and Joshua were safe, that left Jessica with the least votes.

Although she exudes confidence and maturity on stage, Jessica remains humble amidst all the praises and support she got from the American Idol 2012 judges, her co- AI contestants, and her thousands of supporters all over the world.

She has more than a hundred thousand followers at Facebook and few thousands more at Twitter. If these fans were all allowed to vote, she would not have to worry about being at the bottom 3 for the rest of AI season 11.

Her American Idol 2012 co-contestants have only good words for her too, like Skylar Laine, who said via Twitter:

“For people saying I wasn’t happy with the save that’s ridiculous. Jessica is out of this world and I’m very glad she is still with us!”

Even Hollie Cavanagh who was the underdog in the competition said via Twitter:

“…Jessica is absolutely amazing. Deserves to be here and I’m so happy she is(:”

Jennifer Holliday tweeted:

“Luv Jessica’s Voice & Heart, but more importantly, GOD LOVES JESSICA &HER HUMBLE HEART!:-)”

After expressing her utmost gratitude to her fans through Twitter, Jessica Sanchez added:

“I’m proud of myself for making it this far but, I’m also really proud of the contestants. We all work so hard.”

American Idol 2012 next Top 7 Performance Show will see all the contestants singing two songs each, as previously announced by Nigel Lythgoe.
