MANILA, Philippines – PAGASA issues a weather advisory for super Typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut) as it maintains its strength and gets closer to land. Exactly, where’s Typhoon Ompong?

UPDATES: SYNOPSIS on Typhoon Mangkhut (Ompong)
“At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “OMPONG” was located based on all available data at 665 km East of Infanta, Quezon (15.3°N, 127.8°E) maximum sustained winds of 205 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 255 km/h. It is moving West Northwest at 20 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.”

The Philippine Government has evacuated and is still evacuating residents, in low-lying areas, and those near coastal waters to prevent and minimize casualties during the rampage of Typhoon Ompong.
Meanwhile, due to Typhoon Mangkhut (Ompong), Typhoon Signal #3 is raised over Isabela; Typhoon Signals are raised over the entire Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). Signal #2 and Signal #1 are raised over areas of Central Luzon, as of 6 am today. Refresh the page to monitor updated Typhoon Signals.
The Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley, and the Cordilleras will be significantly affected by Typhoon Ompong
Experts advised not to be fooled by the good weather, as Typhoon Ompong would, most likely, unleash its devastating strength in affected areas at the most unexpected time. It was also sunny, the day before Typhoon Yolanda struck the country. So, residents are advised to prepare accordingly.
